Prof. Vibeke Backer
Dr Vibeke Backer is a specialist in internal medicine and pulmonology, with a main interest in asthma. She works as a pulmonologist at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery at Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen, Denmark. Dr Backer is a consultant for the International Olympic Committee on asthma-related issues and has been a board member of Antidoping Denmark under the Danish Ministry of Art and Sports as well as World Antidoping Agency (WADA) in Montreal, Canada. Dr Backer is the author of more than 400 peer-reviewed scientific publications in international journals, is a board member in asthma as well as severe asthma in many pharmaceutical companies, and has developed an educational portfolio in asthma and global airways for specialist nurses and doctors from both Denmark, Nordic area, and internationally. She was the editor-in-chief of Clinical Respiratory Journal, a Nordic Journal launched in 2006, and Deputy editor of European Clinical Respiratory Journal launched in 2014. Dr Backer was president of the Nordic Lung Congress in 2022.

Prof. Charlotte Suppli Ulrik
Dr Charlotte Suppli Ulrik is professor in respiratory medicine at University of Copenhagen and chief physician at the Department of Respiratory Medicine at Copenhagen University Hospital – Hvidovre. She is head of Respiratory Research Unit Hvidovre, Fellow of the ERS, Chair of the Danish Respiratory Research Network, National lead in Trial Nation Denmark Respiratory, Head of Assembly 6 (Environment and Epidermiology) in ERS, and Head of the Management of Asthma during Pregnancy (MAP) program. Prof. Suppli Ulrik has published 300+ papers in peer-reviewed journals, H-index 57.

Prof. Ole Hilberg
Dr Ole Hilberg is a professor in respiratory medicine at Southern Danish University, Chairman of the Danish Research Center for Lung Cancer, and former Chairman of the Danish Society of Respiratory Medicine. He has authored more than 200 publications and has been supervisor for more than 20 PhD students.
